Mozilla Firefox 13 Final Download For Linux, Mac & Windows
Mozilla Firefox is an open-source free web browser being developed by Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation. It uses Gecko layout engine, which loads graphics with speed and accuracy, to render webpages. One fourth of web users are using it to surf internet. Mozilla Firefox is always the most trustworthy internet browser for home as well as corporate users. Web developers always love Firefox because it is open-source and follow most of the web standards compared to any other browser.
Mozilla team is trying hard to introduce new features and enhance the existed features with the release of every new version of Firefox. Previously, in Mozilla Firefox 12:
- In previous releases of Firefox, search by Ctrl+F always showed the results at the bottom of webpage but this is changed in Firefox 12. The Ctrl+F search results on any webpage will be shown in the middle of the browser if the webpage has enough height to scrolled the searched text to the middle of browser window.
- Function key F6 was disabled since last three releases but in this new release, this issue is fixed and you can select address bar with pressing F6 instead of mouse movement and any other long shortcut keys.
- I think you know about Firefox famous plugin Speed Dial where you can set frequently used websites for quick access. Now Firefox has this feature as built-in for frequently visited websites.
Let’s see what they have New in Mozilla Firefox 13 Final:
- Reset Button: This is new feature in Firefox 13. There was a Reset button in Google Chrome but I do not know if it is still there or not. BTW, this new feature is implemented in Firefox 13 with workmanship. Resetting in Firefox 13 will not effect on your bookmarks, saved passwords, profile details and important cookies. So, after resetting, you do not have to set them again. It will only refresh the Firefox 13 and you do not have to reinstall it if it encounters any internal error. Even if it is working slow, you can use reset option. To reset Firefox 13, go to Help->Troubleshooting Information. A new tab will open showing you all important technical details of your Firefox 13. You can also access the same page by entering text about:support in address bar. There you will see a button named Reset Firefox. Pressing this button will reset it as it is just installed keeping your bookmarks, saved passwords, profile details and important cookies intact. I will advise you to backup your bookmarks and other important info before doing Reset.
- Smooth Scroll: Normally, webpage scroll as you set the speed in Mouse options which is 3 line by default. Firefox 13 has introduced real smooth scrolling. This is same scrolling but with smoothness.
- Speedy Tabs: Frequently used web pages will be shown in boxes with the launch of every new tab. This feature is enabled by default but can be disabled simply clicking on the button at right top corner of the tab-page.
