Using Linux or Mac, you may not need firewall. But to protect your Windows computer from intruders, you must have firewall. Here I have put a small list of best free firewall for Windows 10. These firewall support Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7.

Comodo Firewall Free was my favorite among all. I seldom had any problem. That was like install and forget. But a few months ago they pulled the plug and Comodo Firewall is gone. Those who did not uninstall it can still use it as long as they have it installed. But, you cannot install it now as a standalone security tool. You need to buy Comodo Antivirus.

Then there left ZoneAlarm Firewall Free. It is a nice, simple and easy to use piece of software. Almost no complication compared to Comodo Firewall Free if you wanted to configure it. You can also get free Antivirus from ZoneAlarm if you want. So, basically you can get a complete security package free from ZoneAlarm. I could not use free ZoneAlarm Firewall because it conflicts Sticky Password and I need Sticky Password more than ZoneAlarm Firewall.

Well, after Comodo Firewall gone and ZoneAlarm Firewall conflicts with other software, I got Free Firewall which is listed in the table right after Comodo Firewall. I am using it since a few months and it is great in fact. Free Firewall works as intended to be. Give it a try.
