Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is Free-to-Play (F2P) Now
Yes! you read it right: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is Free-to-Play (F2P) now. This means you don’t need to buy it anymore.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) has two mods: Free-to-play and Prime. Prime status is what you will buy to fight only against other prime status holders in CS:GO. Otherwise just play free for as long as you wish without any charges.
The other twist in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is the addition of Battle Royale. You all very well know how famous Player Unknown’s Battle Ground [PUBG] and Fortnite has become because of the innovative gameplay giving tough time to other shooting games. It was better for CS:GO to adopt new gameplay if they wanted to stay in competition. This battle royale mod will be called Danger Zone.
In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Danger Zone, there will be 16 players fighting against each other instead of 100 vs 100 like PUBG and Fortnite. There can be 18 players as well if played team based.
People, who have bought Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) are complaining on Steam in comments. Most of them are asking their money back. Will they get? I don’t think so.
Should you not wish to spend $15 on prime status (its current cost on Steam), you can play the game enough to earn a high reputation, then supply a valid phone number to Valve. Upon doing this, you’ll receive prime status consideration.
