Though iPhones and iPads are costly compared to rival Android smartphones and tablets but availability of freebies for iOS users is much much higher than for Android users. The fact might be the production cost. iOS devices can be counted on fingers and for iOS devices the developers do not have to develop apps for many hundred different size and specs devices like they do for Android devices which definitely decreases the production cost of apps. With less production cost and high earnings marginally, they can offer freebies more frequently. But still for techsavvy like me the offering of freebies cannot be a preferred choice to select the device over functionalities.
