Google Nexus 7 tablet (2nd generation) might be the most waited tablet by Android lovers. The reason is not that it has Google branding but the specs which no other manufacturer can offer. This is the tablet with high quality build with great specs but dirt cheap. Being a student, I know how much value it can have. I am already using a China made Cube U30GT2 tablet which is a great experience. After owning Cube, I made it clear to buy Google Nexus 7 whenever it will be available here.
Google Nexus 7 (2nd gen) is the first official device to have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This is history that devices carrying Google brand always get Android updates before any other branded device. That is the main feature of any android device carrying Google branding. Much popular Samsung is always lazy in giving the updates because they are too busy in designing and manufacturing new devices to forget their old customers. I read Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will come to Galaxy Note II at the end of July and now hearing to get Android 4.3 by the end of year but no 4.2.
This 2nd generation Google Nexus 7 looks almost identical to old Nexus 7 but it is better in specs and a few visible changes. The biggest change which you can see is rear camera. Yes! new Nexus 7 has 5MP rear camera. The old Nexus 7 did not has rear camera at all. It is also equipped with 1.2MP front camera. I do not know if someone would like to make photos from tablet camera but it is still good to have. Or at least will be better to get picture of green-board and slides in the class.
Google Nexus 7 (2nd Gen.) got Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 processor with a 2MB L2 cache and 1.5GHz processor speed. It has 2GB DDR3LM memory. It is equipped with Adreno 320 graphics processor. The screen resolution is 1920×1200 which is the highest on 7-inch tablets. Every inch of the screen has 323 pixels making the display crystal clear and sharp. You device will be running fast because big processor and large amount of memory. Multitasking will be easy and seamless. You will get better than any experience of videos. If you play games, games will be running smoothly giving you really good experience which you might have dreamed.
Google Nexus 7 (2nd Generation) has 16GB and 32GB on-board flash memory which is not enough according to todays size of apps and other needs. And it also does not has microSD slot leaving you dependent on the internal memory only. But it has micro USB 2.0 let you use external storage media. So, you can extend the storage but not easy to do so.
Google Nexus 7 (latest) has latest Bluetooth 4.0 which makes data transfer among different devices easy and speedy. You will be able to transfer data from and to Google Nexus 7 at very high speed through Bluetooth 4.0. It will range from 9 to 12 meters. It is feather light and weighs only 290 grams. You can play almost 9 hours of 1080p HD videos and 10 hours of internet surfing or e-books reading.
Google Nexus 7 got all the popular apps from Google like Google Search by Voice, GMail, Google Talk, Google Maps, Google Street View, YouTube, Google Play. This Nexus 7 is made by ASUS as the old Nexus 7 was also made by ASUS. ASUS has very good tablets compared to Samsung. The only problem with ASUS forcing her to sit on the back seat is marketing deficiency.
What this high specs means is you are getting a really great great Android tab at very low price. As said, such a best tablet and very cheap must be first choice for students and low budget families. Google Nexus 7 is available in WiFi and 4G LTE models. The starting price is US$229.
