Latest Kingsoft Office Free 2013 Available to Download

Kingsoft Office has always been sold on internet but one and half years ago,  a downgraded version of Kingsoft Office 2012 Pro was also released as Kingsoft Office 2012 Free. Just few hours ago, Kingsoft Office 2013 Free is released. It has Writer, Presentation and Spreadsheets.

This new Kingsoft Office has new interface as well as new features. Its interface is just like Microsoft Office 2013. If you have not seen Microsoft Office 2013 interface, with Kingsoft Office 2013 you will get that experience.

 You might be thinking to have something which works like Microsoft Office 2013, let me tell you, it is just interface and some extended features which put Kingsoft Office 2013 closer to Microsoft Office 2013. There is a big disability in KS Office 2013.  Let me make it clear. You can open office files with extensions .docx, .xlsx and .pptx and modify these types of files. But you cannot save the documents in these new file formats. You can only save in .doc, .xls and .ppt format.

STOP here, THINK now, do you really need it? If you are looking freeware which can handle new document file formats (Microsoft proprietary  .docx, .xlsx and .pptx) like save the modify docs, you should consider OpenOffice.org or LibreOffice. But if you want only a new look and do not desire real compatibility with Microsoft Office new file format, you will like Kingsoft Office 2013 Free.
