A software specially designed for drivers updates should be light weight and easy to use.  Uniblue DriverScanner 2012 is easy to use but not a light weight like Device Doctor. It uses almost 35MB memory when you run the interface. When you scan the PC to find out dated drivers, it consumes over 50MB of RAM and installing driver even takes more than this. Well, but the interface is really simple. A basic user can easily use it to update outdated drivers.

When you run the Uniblue DriverScanner 2012 (UDS 2012), on the main interface, you will see tabbed menu at top and driver status in the middle of window. Pressing big green button will start scanning of your computer to find any outdated driver. After the driver scan is finished, you will see a list of out dated drivers and new available driver versions. You can download the drivers and install through UDS interface. There is a limit of maximum 5 drivers can be downloaded simultaneously. It will take backup before installing any driver. On the installation of each new driver, other installed drivers will be backed up. For some reason, your newly installed driver is incompatible with your system, you can simply restore your old backup of drivers.
